A study in trees.

Walking home on my birthday – the sky in all its subtly undulating pink, blue, purple, orange winter magnificence.
Sunset walking is my favourite hobby, one that evokes in me a deep and rolling nostalgia for my daily walks beside the Danube where the sunsets were something else entirely, where I learned why the blaue bayerische Himmel is one world-renowned, unlike anywhere else in the world. Something about the skeletal silhouettes of trees dressed for winter, imprinted onto the umbral light of the dusky sky, invokes in me an esoteric, deep-rooted tranquility.

It was the best birthday present I could have wished for.
