Weekend Colour Palette | Blue

It’s been a while, right? I like to think we’re the sort of friends who can catch up as if no time has passed. Right? Right? Blue was the weekend colour palette back at the beginning of July, but in between heatwaves, and packing up our apartment, and catching that horrible sort of cold, things slipped by the wayside here. Still, better late than never. And thankfully, lovely ladies such as Natalie, Kate and Audrey have been holding the fort with their gorgeous images. I’ve compiled a schedule below for the rest of the summer, so you can join in as and when – no pressure. If you’d prefer the low-maintenance route, simply tag your snaps with #weekendcolourpalette on social media. I’d love to see!

29-30 July – Red
5-6 August – Green
12-13 August – Purple
19-20 August – Orange
26-27 August – Turquoise

Thanks for joining in!

And a little housekeeping: I hope you like my new blog design, layout and simplified categories. Go forth & explore! I’ve been wanting to reorganise and declutter round these parts for some time, and I hope the new tags and sections make sense and are easy to navigate. Let me know if there’s anything else you’d like to see. I really go through phases with this space, but a new, clean space is spurring on my enthusiasm. Expect to see more of me around these parts! x

  • I love this series so much! What I especially like is the way you’ve been really subtle in your photographs, so the colourful ‘object’ isn’t always the main focus – like in the picture of your aunt back in Week Pink – but the little slips of colour really stand out because they’re all curated together in the series (<– oh dear, not sure that that was very well put, but I hope you know what I mean ha.)

I just looked up from my screen and feel like everything red in my room really popped out at me, so I think I will try this out this coming weekend, PhD allowing (I've been taking a social media break this week which has been sad for photographs but great for productivity. In an extra effort to concentrate, I've also locked my phone away and haven't looked at it all since Sunday. Pleased with myself. But also really missing the camera. I'll let myself back on on Saturday and Sunday though I think, so will enjoy to try this out.)

ps. loving the new blog design 🙂 can't wait to play around with the design of mine (…….after the PhD *sigh*) as it's feeling a little tired.
pps. sorry that this has turned into a giganta-comment.
